elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6a637cc\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>A temporary foreign worker (TFW) is a foreign citizen who is in Quebec temporarily to work for a Quebec employer.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8df34b6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"8df34b6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>There are two main programs for temporary foreign workers:<\/p><ul><li>The <strong>Temporary Foreign Worker Program<\/strong> (TFWP), designed to help employers meet their short-term labour needs when there are no Canadian citizens or permanent residents available to fill the positions on offer. The TFWP involves two phases; the first a joint federal and provincial process (Labour Market Impact Assessment and the Quebec Selection Certificate, and the other by the federal government only (the work permit application process);<br><br><\/li><li>The <strong>Federal International Mobility Program<\/strong> (IMP), aimed at enabling the international mobility of workers when their arrival is of significant economic or cultural benefit to Canada. The IMP category includes all work permits that are not subject to the LMIA, such as the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP), International Experience Canada (IEC) programs, including the Working Holiday Visa (WHV), work permits subject to LMIA exemption codes, and permits issued to an eligible spouse or common-law partner accompanying the principal applicant (TFW or student).<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8b4b32e e-con-full e-flex e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"8b4b32e\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-323e80f e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"323e80f\" workers<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-001c50a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"001c50a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>There are two ways for farm workers to take up employment in Quebec, both of which are under the Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP):<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9f0be5f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9f0be5f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul><li>The <strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/fr\/emploi-developpement-social\/services\/travailleurs-etrangers\/agricoles\/agricoles.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">agricultural stream of the TFWP<\/a><\/strong><\/strong>;<p><\/p><\/li><li>The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/fr\/emploi-developpement-social\/services\/travailleurs-etrangers\/agricoles\/agricoles-saisonniers.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Seasonal Agricultural Worker Program<\/a><\/strong> (SAWP), exclusively for nationals of Mexico or one of the Caribbean countries that have signed an agreement with the Canadian are people who come to Quebec for the primary purpose of studying.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-87c9754 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"87c9754\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\">However, the holder of a full-time study permit at a designated educational institution may work <strong>up to 24 hours per week during course and examination periods<\/strong> (and more than 24 hours per week during International Experience Canada (IEC) initiative is aimed at young people aged 18 to 29, 30 or 35 (depending on their nationality) wishing to travel and gain work experience in Canada.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-96cf3d5 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"96cf3d5\"
