The employer cannot move a statutory holiday. <\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7fc0e2a9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7fc0e2a9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>As a general rule, a public holiday is a day off with pay &#8211; and the employer cannot move it.<\/p><p>The indemnity for each public holiday is calculated according to several methods, depending on the worker\u2019s employment status (see table below).<\/p><p>Whether the person is employed full- time or part-time makes no difference to the calculation.<\/p><p>Special cases:<\/p><ul><li><strong>If the statutory holiday falls on a regular day off<\/strong> (excluding unpaid leave or sick leave, for example) <strong>or during the worker\u2019s annual vacation<\/strong> &#8211; whether mandated by law or granted by the employer &#8211; the holiday compensation remains payable or may be replaced by a paid day off at a later date.<\/li><li><strong>A worker required to work on a statutory holiday<\/strong> is entitled to their regular pay plus, at the employer\u2019s discretion, either an additional vacation allowance or a paid compensatory day off to be taken within three weeks before or after the holiday concerned.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a827978 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"a827978\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-93d5606 e-n-tabs-mobile elementor-widget elementor-widget-n-tabs\" data-id=\"93d5606\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"nested-tabs.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-n-tabs\" data-widget-number=\"155014662\" aria-label=\"Onglets.
