Before doing so, Workers should first ensure that their situation truly warrants a complaint. <\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6ea1145d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6ea1145d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Workers may file a complaint if they:<\/p><ul><li>Believe that their rights (or the laws enforced by the CNESST) are not being respected in their workplace;<\/li><li>Want to report a hazardous health and safety situation;<\/li><li>Wish to challenge a contractual process;<\/li><li>Are dissatisfied with the services provided (or not) by the CNESST;<\/li><li>Wish to contest a temporary assignment or a CNESST decision.<\/li><\/ul><p>Complaints may relate to:<\/p><ul><li><strong>Labour standards:<\/strong> unpaid wages, unpaid overtime, unjustified dismissal, psychological or sexual harassment in the workplace, prohibited practices, etc.;<\/li><li><strong>Pay equity:<\/strong> missing or incorrectly conducted pay equity work, unpaid salary adjustments, etc.;<\/li><li><strong>Occupational health and safety:<\/strong> negative consequences for the employer (dismissal, suspension, reprisals, etc.) following a workplace injury, the exercise of a right recognized by the Act respecting industrial accidents and occupational diseases (AIAOD) or the exercise of a right recognized in the For a Safe Maternity Experience Program, etc.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div CNESST file.
