\"\"Le CCIC est l\u2019organisme de r\u00e9glementation national qui promeut et prot\u00e8ge l\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat public en encadrant les consultants en immigration et en citoyennet\u00e9 et les conseillers d\u2019\u00e9tudiants \u00e9trangers r\u00e9glement\u00e9s.\u00a0<\/span>
\nLe mandat f\u00e9d\u00e9ral du CCIC d\u00e9coule de<\/span> la Loi sur le Coll\u00e8ge des consultants en immigration et en citoyennet\u00e9<\/i>, de la Loi sur l\u2019immigration et la protection des r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s<\/i>, et de la L<\/em>oi sur la citoyennet\u00e9<\/i>. Elles stipulent que quiconque fournit des conseils en immigration ou en citoyennet\u00e9 canadienne moyennant des frais doit \u00eatre membre en r\u00e8gle du CCIC, d\u2019un barreau canadien ou de la Chambre des notaires du Qu\u00e9bec.<\/span>
\nLe Coll\u00e8ge a des pouvoirs de poursuite des consultants en immigration non autoris\u00e9s, d’obtention des preuves et des remboursements d\u2019honoraires inappropri\u00e9s, et de cr\u00e9ation d’un fonds d\u2019indemnisation des personnes ayant \u00e9t\u00e9 l\u00e9s\u00e9es par l\u2019inconduite de consultants en immigration autoris\u00e9s.<\/span>
\nLe Conseil promeut \u00e9galement le rehaussement des normes de la profession. La r\u00e9ussite d\u2019un programme d\u2019\u00e9tudes sup\u00e9rieures, le <\/span>D.E.S.S. en r\u00e9glementation canadienne et qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise de l\u2019immigration, dispens\u00e9 en fran\u00e7ais ou en anglais,\u00a0est n\u00e9cessaire pour devenir consultant en immigration (au lieu d\u2019un dipl\u00f4me d\u2019\u00e9tudes coll\u00e9giales).<\/span><\/p>\n
